With the objective of developing the sport of cross country skiing, our club wants to participate in building the USSA Central Cross Country Ski Association (“CXC Skiing”) by being part of its network and demonstrating leadership in fundraising.

Our club has committed to a matching challenge grant of $ 2,000 to entice members to participate funding a CXC Development Team athlete. The vision of CXC Development Team is to close the gap between junior and senior athlete’s development by providing professional world class training and coaching opportunities.  The vision objectives are critical elements toward the drive for the United States Ski Team’s achievement of Cross Country Olympic podiums by 2010 and Olympic Gold by 2014.

CXC Development Team athletes are ambassadors of cross country skiing and involved in the local ski communities by assisting twice a month with the local junior and adult programs through spring, summer, and fall.

We feel this is an excellent way for our club to tie into the resources of CXC and to support the growth of the sport in the Midwest. Please joint us so we can raise the funds needed to complete the sponsorship funding.
